Kristopher R. Sjodin Kristopher R. Sjodin
(October 28, 1977 - October 2, 2013)

Sjodin, Kristopher R. age 35 of Waconia passed away on Wednesday October 2, 2013.

Memorial Service held on Saturday October 5, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Faith Lutheran Church in Waconia with Rev. Dale Peterson officiating; gathering of family and friends from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at the church.

Kristopher Ryal Sjodin was born at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, MN on October 28, 1977 the son of Keith and Mary (Gelineau) Sjodin. He attended Southview Elementary and graduated from Waconia High School, where he excelled in the Waconia Drumline. After high school, Kristopher went on to college at the University of Minnesota Duluth, his father's alma mater. Graduating in 2001, Kristopher then moved to Kansas City where he attended Rockhurst College, where he earned his MBA in Business and Finance. After returning to Minnesota, Kristopher got a job at Ceridian in Bloomington, MN where he was still employed as a data analyst at the time of his death.

In 2004, Kristopher realized that his sister's longtime friend, Erin Menssen, was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. In 2007, Kristopher and Erin were married at Lutsen, MN. Much happiness ensued. Their son Tyler was the joy of their lives and in 2010, Benjamin was born, completing their family.

Kristopher had a passion for music and enjoyed an eclectic mix. His favorite place in the whole world was the North Shore, especially in Tofte, MN at the Menssen family cabin. He played and watched football with his son Tyler, but his favorite thing to do with his elder son was to read books with him, which he did every day. His spirited son, Benjamin, taught Kristopher patience as a father. Throughout their 6 years of marriage, Erin and Kristopher created a loving and nurturing home for their boys. Kristopher's spirit lives on through them.

Kristopher was an amazing son, brother, husband and father. We were blessed to have him in our lives for an all too short 35 years.

Kristopher is preceded in death by his grandparents Ryal Gelineau, Bill Fjeran, John and Elsa Sjodin; cousin Todd Sjodin.
