YoVonne Lydia “Snooks” Card age 71 of Watertown passed away on Saturday March 2, 2013 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

Funeral Service held on Tuesday March 5, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church (3030 Navajo Ave.) Watertown with Rev. Randy Sherran officiating; visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church; interment St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery with military honors provided by the Watertown American Legion.

YoVonne was born on April 21, 1941 in Watertown the daughter of Elmer and Louise (Schmidt) Menzel. YoVonne was baptized on May 11, 1941 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Watertown by Rev. Rudolph and confirmed on April 3, 1955 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Watertown by Rev. Spomer.

YoVonne was a loving mother and grandmother, being with her family meant the world to her. She loved working in her yard, always taking care of the shrubs and flowers making them beautiful year after year. YoVonne enjoyed visiting with her neighbors giving advice to any problem they had to solve. She especially liked going out to eat with her family or friends. YoVonne had a kind, loving heart, appreciating the simpler things in life. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Watertown.

YoVonne is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Louise Menzel; brother Clyde Menzel; sister-in-law Sylvia Menzel; brother-in-law Wallace Quaas.

YoVonne is survived by her loving family; daughter Vicki (Brian) Dalheimer of Watertown; grandchildren Mitchell, Mackenzie, Micheal Dalheimer; brother Donnie (Nancy) Menzel of Mayer; sisters Sylvia Quaas of Chaska, Lois Tesch of Minnetrista; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Casket Bearers are Mike Mulcahy, Bryan Mulleady, Craig Medower, Michael McMahon, Jeff Allison, Jason Boll, Brent Hood, Travis Pogreba.
