Adella B. Meuwissen

Meuwissen, Adella B. age 100 of Waconia passed away Sunday February 24, 2013 at the Auburn Home in Waconia.

Mass of Christian Burial held Wednesday February 27, 2013 - 11:00 am St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia with Father Bennet Tran as celebrant of the Mass; visitation from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass at the church. Interment St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery, Cologne, MN.

Adella was born on May 27, 1912 in Waconia the daughter of Fred L. and Anna M. (Sicheneder) Henke. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia. On April 17, 1934, Adella was united in marriage to Marcus L. Meuwissen at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia.

Adella was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia and belonged to the Daughters of Isabella. She spent her working years at Erhard’s and Super Value in Waconia.

Adella is preceded in death by her husband Mark Meuwissen; son Willis Meuwissen; granddaughter Channa Geyen; father and mother Fred and Anna Henke; brother and sister-in-law Wilfred and Delores Henke; sisters and brothers-in-law Sister Alvara Henke SCC, Florence and Mike Storms, Blanche and George Moonen.

Adella is survived by her loving family; son and daughter-in-law Marcus and Ruth Meuwissen of New Brighton; daughter and son-in-law Rose Marie and Robert Geyen of Shakopee; grandchildren Paul and Kim Meuwissen, David and Janice Meuwissen, Mark and Karen Meuwissen, Daniel Meuwissen, Christopher and Julie Geyen, Cheri and David Anderson, Marc and Lindsey Geyen; great-grandchildren Matthew, Mari, Lynn, Jenny, Nikki, Beth, Jacob, Ryan, Alexandria, Amy, Alex, Cole, Colin, Reid, Coen; nieces, nephew other relatives and friends.

Casket Bearers are her grandchildren.
